In 1963 Allen W. Lindsay, Sr., opened a one man law practice in downtown Milton at the age of 51. The senior Lindsay had come to west Florida as a Naval aviator and married a local girl, Mary C. Fisher. He later farmed/ranched and had a contracting business. In 1958, the contracting business was sold and Mr. Lindsay went back to college to pursue his life-long dream of being an attorney. In 1967 his son, Allen W. Lindsay, Jr. (Butch), joined him at the Willing Street address.
In March 2008, Heather Lindsay joined the firm after having been a partner at Johnston Barton Proctor & Rose LLP in Birmingham, Alabama. Heather has specialized in Labor & Employment law since 1996. She plans to continue working in that specialty and with her colleagues in the American Bar Association's Labor & Employment Section on the Employment Rights & Responsibilities Committee. Additionally, she is expanding her practice to include probate, medical malpractice, personal injury, toxic tort and environmental law, and governmental law. Heather's first job was working as a runner here. She is glad to have returned home to continue her career in her hometown at the firm established by her grandfather.
