Allen W. Lindsay, Jr.

Licensed to practice law in Florida and Alabama since 1967

Allen W. Lindsay, Jr. has been licensed to practice law in Florida and Alabama since 1967, and has maintained a continuous legal presence in the courts of Northwest Florida and South Alabama for more than five decades — a record of service virtually unmatched in Santa Rosa County.

He is the son of Allen W. Lindsay, Sr. — a Navy pilot who served in World War II and the founder of Lindsay & Lindsay, P.A. — and the father of Heather Fisher Lindsay, the firm's third generation.

Mr. Lindsay graduated from Sewanee Military Academy in 1961, earned his Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University, and received his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida and the Southern District of Alabama.

He began his legal career in public service, serving as an Assistant State Attorney from 1969 to 1973 — experience that shaped the trial instincts and professional discipline that have defined his practice ever since.

With over 55 years of experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, and toxic tort litigation, Mr. Lindsay is one of the most seasoned trial attorneys in Northwest Florida. His experience spans catastrophic injury, medical negligence, wrongful death, and environmental litigation — including cases involving asbestos-related mesothelioma, crude oil and petroleum exposure, and matters arising from the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill.

He was honored for his membership in the American Association of Justice for over 50 years — placing him among a small group of attorneys whose commitment to plaintiff advocacy has spanned more than half a century.

Mr. Lindsay has served as City Attorney for the City of Milton — one of the longest tenures in the city's history — and as legal counsel to six of the last eight Sheriffs of Santa Rosa County, as well as to the Santa Rosa County Tax Collector's office. He has served as President of the Milton Kiwanis Club, the Santa Rosa County Chamber of Commerce, the Santa Rosa Council of the Navy League, and the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association, and is a Life Member of the National Rifle Association.
